Locked In CEA Inc

Leonard Kemp Jr

The vast majority of youth offenders suffer from some form of childhood trauma

The Riverside District Attorney’s Office led the charge on locking up black and brown kids from economically deprived areas within their cities. With a conviction rate reaching as high as 92.3% in the mid 2000’s; thousands of kids were tried as adults, refused plea bargains and given extreme sentences. Leonard Kemp Jr. is just one of the thousands. Listen to his story.

Leonard’s environmental factors were ignored along with his age, the emotional and mental factors of his early childhood, and all the traumas he endured. Locked In is requesting from current District Attorney, Michael Hestrin, that his office undo the injustice that was done and have Leonard Kemp Jr. resentenced as a juvenile.
